ATC Half Marathon Training Begins

This morning was the first day of the Atlanta Track Club training program for the half marathon. I am so glad that I registered for this training. It is exactly what I needed to make sure I keep my running fitness strong and continue to make progress. Also, I can upgrade to the VIP package at any time during the training, which will give me a new pair of running shoes (which I will have to buy anyway by the end of the 16 weeks, for sure.) When I realized that, the money was totally worth it to me. I requested Thursday nights off so that I can attend the interval training and speed work sessions, which is perfect since my primary focus is on getting stronger and faster this year.

I registered for the Publix half marathon, which will be on March 22.
