October morning

a buzzard baited, damp grey sky
moldy peeling painted dream
that quiet October morning sigh
loveless now turned sour
she was pretty once
before she died
a tragic mistake, that final hour,
no one there to hear her scream
her last breath of hope devoured
we still don’t quite know why
too young undone
barely tried
forever cursed on the devil’s ride

close your eyes

kingdoms and countrysides
toil and thunder in rage and revelry
a chasm cuts the cadence of time
my blood burns still ever hot

cosmic space divides
a silent vastness of ruin and renewal rises to form
a washed away trail from forever to now
pursuant, unwavering, i must want you more

burning forests unite in an army of dare
tempered tornadoes gather and break
beasts drip carnage wiles of roaring terror, an execution to berate
yet daydream’s musing still breathes you in

villainous hope sings a mockingbird hymn
cascading a victims chorus of doom
cemented chrysalis sadly swoons
a birthday denied, eternity weeping, stuck in time, one breath

quintessence then shares a secret path
where passage unfolds to rapture
beloved beckoning whisper of light, the one gleaming star in the night
here in the dark, find me now, in a moment of silence, just close your eyes

as the creeks court the streams to the ocean of surrender
the leaf slowly falls to the mother bird’s need
suffering gaze toils outside, the path to nowhere forms an alliance with pain
lonesome heart, look inside, for I am here, quietly awaiting your passion to rise

why we get stuck…

why we get stuck…

“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” ~Albert Einstein

We live in an intelligent, compassionate, aware and changeable Universe in which everything has a purpose, even if that purpose is to be the thing without other purpose.

This is something you will have to experience for yourself. It cannot be conveyed linguistically with a shadow of the permanence imparted through synchronistic epiphany. It is a knowingness beyond knowledge that validates this truth for me. There are no accidents. We are one energy. It is confounding and fascinating and miraculous and at times quite bizarre, but I have seen and felt and known this resonance so completely now that when things don’t coincide with cosmic cadence the separation from my world becomes glaringly obvious.

What I have noticed so often through my increasing awareness of the interrelatedness of everything is that there are clues all around us, all the time.

We have all heard the story of a person who was running late and missed their flight, only to find out later that the flight they missed ended up having some trouble that they had been graciously spared. Many dismiss this sort of thing as luck. I’m not here to convince you otherwise. What is would like to share with you is that the clues are out there and if you look you will find them. It’s a bit more complex but we’ll leave that for later…

What is the point here then? It’s magic. Have you ever been stuck?

Would you like to know why? Wanna break free from impossible limits? We live in the paradox of our own perception. The way out of the problem is not the same way we came in. It’s not really a leap of faith. It’s more like if we can’t find the answer to something it is not because there is no answer, but rather that we are asking the wrong questions.

Everything, somehow, eventually works out… in one way or another. Events will unfold no matter what. We can’t ever really know how things might have been should they not have happened just as they did, because there are infinitely many variables that could be introduced and change everything.

So, if we are trying to, for example, change something about our life situation, but we feel confined by things that are beyond our control, what can we do? This will take some practice, but it is more than worth a try…

First, we have to identify the thing that we are trying to solve or achieve and define it to ourselves. Say the problem in your mind. What is the real goal here? The next thing that automatically happens at this point is our frustrated ego chimes in with the list of reasons that there is no where there from here. All the roadblocks reveal themselves in our story of why we just can’t have what we desperately want. Thus, we are stuck and we hate it. Boo hoo. So, give up? No. What is happening in this situation is we have stopped listening to the Universe. We have lost our connection with our creative energy. We won’t ever get out of this box unless this or that or the other. But what if we skip that step, just for a moment, to ask a new question.

This is how we get unstuck then… Stop asking the same question. You will continue to get the same answer. You have already proven this to yourself or you wouldn’t be stuck, right? And only a crazy person would continue to ask the same question over and over, expecting to eventually hear something different. Just skip the unsolvable question and move right on past it. Things change from the other side. It’s tough to do, because you want to complain, but that is the window. On the side of your unsolvable scenario where it is already solved, at the point where the next move is made. You have to skip over complaining and just put yourself in that future place. In doing so you recreate for yourself a new frame of mind and a new question, the answer to which will find you no longer stuck. You skipped right over that.

You don’t have to get all new-agey here and visualize and say affirmations in the mirror. It’s not like that. It’s a simple shift in the timeline to the next pressing issue.

I’d love at this point to share with you my example…. the epiphany I had earlier which revealed this little trick. At this point, however, I mustn’t indulge you. It all comes down to ego. The less ego is involved, the more efficient the flow of creative, changeable, solutions. I love to reason things through and it is great to have goals in life, but it seems to be true that the better one is at reason and logic, the more probable that these situation unsovlabilities present themself in the way. We do it to ourselves, subconsciously, as a challenge, I think, but it is simply a waste of time.

On the surface you might think of math as rigid and structured, but so much couldn’t have ever been calculated without the anomalous weirdos of the system. Irrational numbers, imaginary numbers, the concept of zero and infinity are the missing pieces to the puzzle of reason. The creativity of chaos is the harmony in the music. It is the warp zone to the other side of the unsolvable problem. It is the new question you ask when you are stuck in neutral. It is the seductress that tames the militant ruler.

Introduce these two words into your working thought cycles… “What if?”

Practice seeing simple, common daily issues from a new perspective. Kids do this all the time, until adults and life and the truths we all “know” and accept are tattooed on their minds as truth that just is and need not ever be questioned.

that’s all for now. what if it wasn’t?

VAX-D

I’m currently looking up info on non-surgical spinal disc decompression using the VAX-D treatment for my dad, he has a herniated disk… anyone tried it? heard of any risks for the elderly or those with a heart condition? I haven’t found anything so far indicating these would pose a risk for this treatment, but I figured I’d throw it out into the digital void just in case something might come back that I hadn’t found.

thanx.
